Except it's always, "Oh, sure, we always want more people in %hobby%." "Change this thing!" "Uh, no." They they cry out in pain as they strike you.
And they are always shocked when they burn that bridge. Like a fucking cartoon, "I could never have forseen this outcome."
Vigilant gatekeeping is a necessity now.
Not just gatekeeping, the must be actively purged.
Anyone who wants a franchise to pander to minorities instead of being entertaining is a hostile infiltrator bent on destroying it.
Yeah I'm definitely leaning towards that. I think the community/environment must be fundamentally hostile to the infiltration efforts. I saw how effective this was in the redpill movement so it's probably a better option than just gatekeeping.

In hindsight it always was a necessity, but that's the problem with hindsight isn't it? Just have to make sure more people learn this lesson and that nobody forgets it.
