The game director is a former ubisoft mobile game dev who moved to CDPR and did some development of Gwent. I have extremely low expectations.
You'll still be disappointed.
I assume is going be "made for modern audiences" so it will shit on previous witchers and be trash. I will be surprised if they do not force a female lead and the world will look more diverse then modern day London and 20% gay and trans.
Even Witcher 3 had some awkward moments about feminism and racism that were completely out of place and stupid.

When you see the words "for a modern audience", it is easier to substitute those words with "for woke braindead cultists".
Given the current Netflix series does exactly that it's safe to assume The Wircher 4 will be their Mass Effect: [4] Andromeda.
Quite likely they draw on the tv show as well given the "popularity" with the normies who don't understand just how flat out contradictory most of the show "lore" is with the books and games.
The big thing to remember about the Witcher franchise is the book writer only cares about one thing.

RISE UP!Various "defences" about the show are how it is a "loose" adaptation of the books and not the games. Which was proven to be bullshit in season 2 when they brought in "Lambert" then killed him off soon after because the showrunners wanted to create an impact. Except Lambert is barely in the books so the only ones this will register with is the gamer section of the franchise despite that group being told more or less that the show wasn't for them.But again, all he cares about is money so even when [yes "when", not "if"] more shit live action adaptations [they're making prequels now] and games are made he won't care because he still gets paid.

Witchers are supposedly meant to be devoid of emotions after going through the Trial of the Grasses so wokies could lean hard on making them a mix of non-binary/asexual despite all the Witchers being men [mostly human but there are some elves] and fucking most things that move.
So is this basically just an apology for Cyberpunk? I’ve got low expectations, but a Witcher rpg where you make your own character could be cool I guess. It’ll probably just star a dyked-up Ciri though.

That is not entirely correct. The heart of stone DLC has foreigners but it does have ethnic centered nations.
