I know by now that sadly the benefits don't outweigh the costs thus I have no real interest in trying to fuck let alone develop a long term relationship.
I think my life is alright. I am not miserable and I am not extremely happy either.

On a happiness scale of 0 being completely miserable to 10 being extremely happy, I am a 5-7 depending on the day.
I did not mean to say you would be miserable by just being a bachelor. There's nothing wrong with that, and in fact that's what you should be doing if you haven't found a woman worthy of marriage. I'm single atm and perfectly happy.
I meant that if you are interested in and are pursuing women, a long term relationship without marriage will make you miserable because you aren't doing things according to God's order.
If you are just sleeping around or paying women for sex, then you are suffering. Same if you have kids with a woman without being married. It never turns out well.
I think fucking around, prostitution and having kids without marriage are all engaging in sin so I would never view any of these three acts as real options.
