I've literally never heard of any of those people, and only heard of John Scalzi a tiny bit because they were making fun of his writing a few times at that good reads awards a few years back where they refused to name winners if the winners were not who they wanted to win. It's been so long I don't even remember what it was, but the vox day choices won in a few categories, and they just either ignored the category entirely and chose not to give the award, or just said 'unnamed' and moved on or some shit like that.

Oh yeah, that's what it was. I couldn't remember the name, I just remember that Dalek robot moment on stage at the show from dr. who where they had it riffing on John Scalzi. And that's where the memory fragment started to connect to this. I just remember it being pathetically petty, and also pointing out how rigged it was.
