Is this Ukrainians looting food from Ukrainian churches in order to send to other Ukrainians in Kiev that are in need of the food? I could damn near see the church giving out food stockpiles willingly for that purpose.
Do Churches even have anything? If it was a monastery I would understand, monasteries have a lot of food, they even raise animals and keep bees for honey and wax, some even make wine, very good wine at that.

Churches are probably the least defended of potential stores of resources, since they rely on conscience and public outcry for defense, so taking a peek wouldn't be particularly risky.
For the conflict, any reasonable person and organization should have gathered at least some supplies in case they can't get to a store for a while, and I wouldn't expect a church and its community to be any different.
