This sounds like a parody.
In the 70's there were many such "parodies" and everyone knew what they were now they do the same thing but pretend its stunning and brave.
I happily welcome the new Blackula if it comes out.

I like the premise already.
That brings to mind an interesting point - are all of these "stunning and brave" race-lifts just the new version of Blaxploitation, with the trained seals barking and clapping for it because they're too dumb to realize they're being race-baited?

a parody may work but I doubt it would be allowed today, it would have to play in to stereotypes like sassy black lady and gangster rap. It could be great but the current culture would not allow it.
