Not sure, but I can say that people need to be reminded Rule 14 is a thing. People on both sides of the argument.
never understood why that rule is a thing. spam? This sub is barely alive
You would have to ask Dom why he put it there, but I've yet to see quality content content come from a rule 14 violation, so it's good as an anti spam measure. Most of violations come from bots but around the new year there was a troon mass posting divisive shit under various alts.
theres a guy who was posting 5+ a day a while ago. he seems to have disappeared since people noticed his account
That's why. If we had 100 posts on various topics a day, 5 from one user wouldn't be a big deal.
We discovered this the hard way on the Subreddit.
TheAndredal & a Tulsi Gabbard Campgaing Bot were posting 30 posts a day a piece. It was genuinely unbearable. 5 Posts a day seemed to hold down spam well enough.
