And also they speak in jive (but can't read or write) and the heros need a translator.
Yup, im a huge Tolkien fan. When this was announced i wasn't pissed when the obvious happened because i already knew how this was going to go. I have no intention or want to watch it. Its just silly fan fic in HDR.
The 70s had some pretty garbage levels of subversion on white culture as well. The Peter Jackson movies happened.
LOTR will survive this, no problem. Read the Tolkein books while this trash makes the rounds. It will be forgotten in 2-3 months. Tolkien will be around for hundreds if not thousands of years.
