Their ratings don't matter. This is just the source for every clip you see on social media.
It's funded propaganda and designed to be clipped for YouTube and Social Media, not to make money via ad and subscription revenue. Yeah only 100k people saw that Rachel Maddow show in its entirety. But that one clip will be played 1m times on Bill, John's, Sara's etc Facebook page.

Tucker Carlson completely dominates the ratings, and yet virtually no other show has pivoted their coverage in order to capitalize on that enormous audience.
