Odysee accused Rumble of generating fake traffic https://archive.ph/aBukJ. In response, Rumble sent a letter to Odysee, threatening to sue if they don't remove the tweet https://archive.ph/jOQCo
Odysee removed the tweet, but then left this snarky non-apology https://archive.vn/TLQdA
Pretending to have higher engagement by falsely boosting numbers in order to to retain and increase customers is a tactic that has been used by some social media companies during their critical early period. I'm not convinced by Odysee's very limited evidence that Rumble has been doing this however, and Rumble would be in significant legal trouble if it was caught lying, since it is acquiring external funding.
Going public is gay because it opens up way too many pressure points for subversion.
I think I'll go as far to say that every public company is just another arm of the establishment cathedral, some are just less obvious about it than others.
The people's enemies currently control the money printers, so if your company is heavily influenced by people who invest the most money then you can tell what's going to happen.
This. Companies trying to go public are the enemy even if they themselves don't know it yet. The exchanges and indices will place requirements on them that they will have a fiduciary responsibility to meet which ensure they act as enemy agents.
Love them or hate them, Gab understands this and refuses to kiss the ring.
All are under the direct goverenance of The Cathedral (The Progressive Death Cult) so this is almost self-evident to those paying attention. You clearly are. Most are not.
All the big boys in tech have used bots to boost engagement, and alt-tech shouldn't be tying their own hands over some misguided principles when they are currently engaged in total war. But, Rumble going public will, at best, make it into controlled opposition, if it isn't already, so these attacks from Odysee are also justified.
I think it’s dumb, and would rather they not do that, but I can see why Rumble has an incentive to do it since they are going public now.
I don't care if alt-tech does or doesn't use bots, as long as they can continue stealing marketshare from progressives.
Critical early period? They all use fake engagement numbers, whether you are talking about Facebook, Google Ads, reddit, or Twitter.
Yeah, but if they can't build enough engagement early on, they never will. Reddit's just gamed by everyone (except the right). With YouTube, it's more manipulating the algorithm for trending, recommendations, and who they add or remove from the subscribed list. YouTube also does plenty of manipulation of monetization.
I don't remember which one, but there was a somewhat recent multiplayer shooter that secretly boosted new players' stats. Their reason is some early wins kept those players for longer than if they just got destroyed by the more experienced players. I haven't heard of other games doing it, but it wouldn't be hard to bias the gacha mechanics that are in most of them now.
