Showrunner's favourite character is Egwene so that says it all. If the show somehow lasts until the end will be interesting to see what happens to her at the end.

Removing the necessity of being male to channel Saidin isn't just an excuse to shove more women into the main plot, it's another case of:
"Provable, inherent differences between the sexes? Hissss Burn it down, erase all records!"

I liked that men and women had to work together.
Makes no sense. She is the mentor and important but not even in half the books. I honestly wonder if the showrunner even read the books.
