Just pirate it if you're interested! I don't know about you but I have no compunction again people doing that with these companies. Way too many people are giving their hard-earned money to companies like Netflix.
It's ok. Games are fun to watch, although some are stupid and stale. Characters are generic, plot is contrived, twists are predictable and the resolution is unsatisfying.
If you watch it, do so in Korean with subtitles.
I watched it and thought it was okay like u/CumUnitiesWin said (I did not give money to Netflix), but the subtext really irked me.
Lots of subtle malicious statements made throughout how the writers treated throwaway characters. (Please stop making all your "priestly" characters into fanatics. I know it's a foreign concept atheists, but you're not supposed to loudly pray in front of others, it defeats the purpose of prayer.)
I looked up the creator's inclinations, and sure enough all the bothersome subtext was right. TDS, anti-Christian, you know the drill with these Netflix creators.
First episode was pretty good, the characters and visuals are interesting, I don’t have Netflix so idk if I’ll watch the rest though. I’m pretty sure I can already tell where the plot is going, I mean if you’ve seen The Running Man you pretty much already know how this story is gonna go.
It’s entertaining enough not super original and like most Korean movies portrays Korea as an absolute hell hole. But competently made effects wise and stories alright.
I don’t have Netflix anymore but I wonder if it’s any good. I do see lots of shilling for it so that makes me suspicious
