How did CNN not "lose" her feed halfway through that?

By having their anchor say 'But you can just google this stuff!' and gloss over the fact that there's massive online censorship that the media encourages, and that if you say anything counter to the MSM narrative on most of the biggest platforms, you will risk being yeeted.

In CNN's eyes, they brought her own and showed she was full of shit.

Same Bari Weiss that got obliterated by facts and logic on Joe Rogan's podcast years ago. I guess some of it must have rubbed off on her.

Yeah, but the rub is she wants to go back to the 'classical liberalism' of prior decades, not seeing that a lot of things she was ok with then contributed to the culture we have the misfortune to be in today.

She would be more on the Social Liberal scale like Tim Pool. Classical Liberalism is right wing side of the old school enlightenment values and liberalism that made the Western world and USA what it is. The word liberal got all corrupted to just mean 'left wing' in the USA but that really isn't the real meaning. It is more of a framework for society to agree upon basic principles that benefit everyone right and left.

The left has now abandoned this concept though and want to go full authoritarian. They aren't liberal at all anymore. They want to crush anyone that disagrees or even has basic nuanced discussions like centrists who see how insane the left is getting.

Free speech, free markets, common law courts, innocent till proven guilty, freedom and rights of the individual, so many concepts that right leaning people respect are fundamentally 'liberal' concepts supported by the right for centuries. Back when the right was perfectly fine being called 'liberal'. It is a weird time that the right is now far more liberal than the left... but our definitions and associations with the word are all messed up.

Classical Liberalism is Liberalism.

Everything else you mention is Leftists co-opting Liberalism as a weapon because "Communist" has the stink of burning bodies attached to it.

Opposing Universal Sufferage and Democracy is a Liberal position.

I think the stigma of Communism has faded, actually. Consider this: the authleft always existed in the Ivory Tower -- you haven't been able to have fun on a University campus for decades now. But as long as the Soviet Union was around and China was a backwater, Democrat politicians avoided the comparison. With no communist bogeyman around, and the Red Diapers having come of age, the authleft is now running the Democrat party.

It's not the stigma of Communism that has faded, but the stigma of Socialism.

A small distinction, but an important one.

True, they never espouse for anti-fragile systems, they always want to go back to just before the vase was broken. Many such cases. Sad.

She looks like she has no idea what she's doing while saying those things. It really is n honest moment where a leftist suddenly starts waking up to truths around them and is still ignorant to the full level of the reality of what she's speaking. Soon she will have to make a choice
