So here's the thing about failed attempts to subvert beloved franchises: even when a woke disaster like Ghostbusters 2016 goes down in flames, it still succeeds in pulling back the curtain. Ghostbusters: Afterlife could be a pitch perfect homage to the original, but all that would mean is that the studio adjusted the formula. This doesn't change the fact that I am now hyper-aware of the process, and with that my interest is gone. My suspension of disbelief once extended beyond the content and into the integrity of the craft. Now that suspension is shattered, and I just don't care anymore.
Honestly if this is a big hit the moronic critics will attack the fans and cry that 2016 Ghostbusters wasn’t well received
