Is Billy D writing for them now? It's nowhere as bad as they try to rephrase it in Billy's typical very purple prose.
Also strange obsession with IdolMaster, an apparent soulless loliblob game series that I never even heard about and as such also never heard anyone bitching about. With Banco they often rather wail about the problematix of the likes of SoulCalibur.
Scarlet Nexus and Tales of Arise do seem unimpressive from promo materials alone.
I'm fine with skepticism, but IMO there is reason to be wary about Bamco. This may have legs.
I've played both, they're not woke.
They're not anti-woke either but when you're using psychic powers and magic it's not weird seeing women fight. Not like BFV or CoD
Scarlet Nexus is more bland than anything, I felt the staff were neutering themselves in terms of creativity.
Arise is pretty darn preachy (especially about colonialism). I felt a more left-wing Western audience was the target for Arise, which among other things is why I skipped it.
That's a pretty over simplification of Arise's story but whatever.
Slavery is, indeed, bad and the bad guys are actually bad.
That is not a "leftist" position.
IdolMaster has had at least 4 anime series, movies, arcade games, mobile games, music cds, and regular concerts. It's a big property for them. Miura used to play idol games when he took his breaks from Berserk, but not sure if he played IdolMaster or Love Live, the other big Idol property.
Might just hear less of it because it is not as exposed to the western market as their other properties.
Did he really? I thought that was just a meme
He bought a 360 and IdolMaster, then went on hiatus. He was open about liking it,and while going on a break TO play IdolMaster was likely a meme, hiatus was the only time he could play (or do anything other than work on Berserk) since he worked 15-16 hours a day.
