The "other side" is absolutely using their race to unite on tribal lines and conspire against you. By denying you the same privilege, they show that they hold power over you.
The only way civic nationalism works is if you can marginalize people who use racial pride entirely, and force their side to stop doing it. Yet for decades Black Pride, Asian Pride, La Raza have been celebrated and White pride shamed. We're seeing the results of that now. Woke culture is rolling off a cliff in the opposite direction away from civic nationalism and towards genocide, in part because one side has surrendered and thinks they're taking the high road.

It is okay to be any race. Having pride or shame for your race is antithetical to liberty. Having shame or pride in one's heritage is another matter, and should not be lobbed in with mindless skin color wars.

Ancestry is a much more specific trait than race. To have pride in one's ancestry is to have pride in one's on familial history and heritage.
To have pride in one's race is to hold said race above others, which strips people of their individuality and replaces it with a collectivist view. This collectivism inevitably leads to oppression, no matter what "side" you are on.
It's Okay to be White, because being white is neither good nor bad.
