China's state-owned media have openly stated that the country must prepare for nuclear war. And they mean it: US Satellite photos show that China has DOUBLED its number of nuclear missile silos over the last year.

Basically everyone knows China caused the pandemic. Everyone knows China lied about the leak so as to make sure that if it was going to deal with a virus outrbreak, so was everyone else.

The new AUKUS military alliance is a very telling development.

I don't know if we'll WW3, but it looks like a new arms race is certain, if not already underway.

Doubled? More like increased tenfold.

The silo construction at Yumen and Hami constitutes the most significant expansion of the Chinese nuclear arsenal ever. China has for decades operated about 20 silos for liquid-fuel DF-5 ICBMs. With 120 silos under construction at Yumen, another 110 silos at Hami, a dozen silos at Jilantai, and possibly more silos being added in existing DF-5 deployment areas, the People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force (PLARF) appears to have approximately 250 silos under construction – more than ten times the number of ICBM silos in operation today.

Rofl, well, there we go then.

Like I said, the arms race is already on.

This lunge by China was always doomed to failure, or at least to be very difficult and costly to actually pull off. While it's not over yet, you can put another bullet point on the long list of 'Reasons why China has no Friends'.

Whether or not this leads to anything immediate I think depends on if China thinks they're being embarrassed yet. Ego is behind a lot of what they do.

This is where the West has the big advantage; European countries never really had a continental empire like pretty much everywhere else (Rome was more of a Mediteranian empire). As such, western countries have learned how to coexist as mostly independent nation states.

Contrast this with China, where the whole point is to subjugate your neighbors before they do the same to you. They simply never learned to cooperate so, id they can't conquer the world, they'll eventually turn everyone against them.

Lel, now we get to wait for China to subvert itself with postcolonial studies labeling the PRC as an evil colonizer.

China's becoming a real first world country: experiencing frustrations after pumping money into Africa. Next on the list: Pointlessly digging wheels into the middle east for minimal gain.

Huh, some potentially good news then. Unless\until Winnie the Pooh decides to go in with force.

How bad does your handiwork have to be for Africans to say it's not up to standards.

I think they are comparing to what whitey gave them when we were the ones showing interest in Africa.
