Depends on what it is you're showing up for.
Meeting like-minded individuals in your community and networking is never a bad thing. But there are certainly events that are total waste of time as well.
In the end though, you also proved my point. If it's for Leftists and Boomers then where the hell are all the leftists? The only people I ever see showing up anywhere are conservative types booing and shitting on whichever Democrat it is.
Biden is a perfect example. Mr. Most Popular President of All Time can barely draw a small crowd — and the overwhelming majority of the crowd is journalists and photographers. Everyone else is just there shitting on him.
If he's the "Most Popular Ever" then where the hell is everyone?
