Trump would have lost Red states for sending the military to do dictatorial stuff. The military would have coup'd against him, and the populist movement would be well and truly dead.
Blue states would have been further radicalized. They probably would have started openly killing Trump supporters and republicans in lynchings. The Republican Party might be criminalized in several states.
Where you are right is in Oregon. If he had gone into Portland and started smashing heads, he would actually won the state because the Left would have accepted his power (at least momentarily). And the rest of the state would have been grateful.
