Villenueve is a great director, but he's not immune from this shit.

He also is part of the problem, he adapts as opposed to creating.

Also, he's married to Tanya Lapointe, who is just about the typical Hollywood female executive.

Directed and produced that garbage.

The man has sold his balls and I have absolutely zero faith that Dune will be any good.

Just watch David Lynch's version again, at least it has heart.

Speaking of David Lynch and heart, The Straight Story is easily one of the best sentimental movies ever made. It could bring warmth to the hearts of the coldest men. It's a great shame that he didn't make more movies like that.

That has one of the most interesting trivia items attached to it I've ever seen for a film.

Richard Farnsworth was terminally ill with bone cancer during the shooting of the film, which had caused the paralysis of his legs as shown in the film. Farnsworth committed suicide the following year, at the age of 80.
