People will let things go that long and it is still traumatic. Now, whether or not it was the trauma that made her come forward, or wanting some money/attention, or all of the above, who knows. But people do keep abuse in, sometimes for many more decades than this woman. It's also good to note that people who are nasty, though not necessarily committing a criminal act, can still be victims of abuse and assault. So though people may be less sympathetic to them when they come forward, they are still victims worthy of justice. Hollywood is full of scumbags who take advantage of people sexually of all sexes and ages. This is pretty easy to believe.
