I've been attempting to establish a kia2 presence on ruqqus by reposting content from here every day or so.
But post ban wave that site appears to be a lost cause.
Decentralization is an ever increasingly useful thing as tech firms and banks decide who does and does not get to do things online so your effects are commendable. Unfortunately there are going to be shitty choices like this [ruqqus, saiddit, voat] which won't be apparent at first until something blatantly retarded is done by those in charge.
Dissent is the comment version of Gab, but I believe you need the Dissent browser to make it work since it's been banned by all the other major browsers.
Of the other reddit alternative do any of them have a decent population and aren't cucked?
When I did a look at all of the Reddit alternatives listed in r/RedditAlternatives, this site is the largest English language Reddit alternative. Others like Poal are a tiny fraction of the traffic that Communities.win has. And the couple of non-English sites were slow and basically impenetrable, like trying to use qq.com
KIA2 is pretty small. Patriots.win is still absolutely massive and IP2always.win is also huge. When you combine their traffic with communities.win, it dwarfs the other reddit alternatives though.

Gab? Though I rarely visit because it's blocked at my work.
(come to think of it, that's more a Twitter/FB alternative)
I wish gab was more like reddit -
anonymous people commenting on the news they care about.
But it seems to be a twitter clone?

Yeah Gab and Parler = Twitter clones; Minds = Facebook clone; Bitchute, Rumble, and Odysee = YouTube clones; Ruqqus, Poal, Communities = Reddit clones.

This site, at least the KiA2 part, is pretty small tbh.

Self-host a lemmy instance? Wouldn't have to federate it, and probably wouldn't want to.
