This strikes me as conspiracy peddling along the lines of "all Jews are party to the protocols of Zion and if they claim not to be they are lying to you." I know plenty of western Muslims who really are deluded into thinking their religion can coexist with others. They aren't "real" Muslims.
Some of these people are the primary "converts" of David Wood's Youtube channel. I always see numerous comments on his videos like "Thank you, your channel helped me escape Islam." or "I'm a former Muslim and I'm afraid to tell my parents."
Plenty of peaceful Muslims just don't know the truth. Samir could be an evil scumbag, or just an ignorant fool who was raised in that culture.
They don't even really have any respect for their fellow muslims. They might not cheer your death, but they wouldn't stop it either. No conspiracy, just the facts.
