It is left by the pre 2014 standards. So right of center now.
It has some things about warming climate but it tended to be in the middle on stuff like religion or feminism.
Is not based per say as not-woke. It also tends to mock activists at times and big on women sexuality. It also makes fun of things like WNBA while being proud of American history, it also has some gay jokes. If it was made today it would get canceled.
Only woke thing that it has is that the one eyed girl Lela is made super competent in both combat and skill etc while Fry is progressively made dumber. Also the writers were huge Obama fans.
Think of it this way, it does not have white hating, is diverse just enough for a futuristic setting, not big on gay stuff, a lot of episodes are not in anyway related to woke ideology.
Is fun and politics do not play a big role in the movie and is not PC.

To be fair, Amy was even dumber than Fry, and Bender was shown to be fantastic at everything he did with no effort. It's just that he barely ever bothered. And Leela is pretty dumb in a lot of episodes. There's a whole episode where a shape shifter tricks her into becoming his wife despite acting very suspicious and the entire thing is basically a joke at her expense.
The most left-leaning thing about the show was the constant Nixon jokes, which seemed irreverent to us as kids but were definitely anti-Republican if you read between the lines. But that's really about it.
Even Leela can be a tremendous flake at times who fails, gets in trouble, and needs to be bailed out by her friends. She may be the best combatant on the team, but that wasn't always enough, and many problems in the show weren't the type that could be solved with violence.
The first four season run was very good. The four ensuing "movie" seasons are bizarre and extremely uneven. The second television run is just "off". There are some good episodes, but you can tell that the writers are different and definitely more woke.
As a huge fan of Futurama, I pretty much only rewatch the first few seasons.
The movie seasons are full fanservice and thus overly self-referential. The later actual seasons don't destroy the show and you get an ending, but they're usually short of the original.
The original seasons' episodes I've watched countless times and still love. Feel like I find a new joke I missed each time I rewatch it, too.

Great points. The WNBA jokes were hilarious. I’m sure today there would be backlash

100% agreed.

Made by ppl on the left but it debuted in the late 90s so there were still jokes that mocked both sides. I enjoy the show and still watch reruns
I'd say left of 90 is right of 2020; thats how much radical left have pulled society since 2008
There’s an ENTIRE episode that’s little more than a campaign ad for Obama. I think that gives you an idea.
Always was overtly leftist, it got worse over time as groening walked lock step with the overall leftward march.
Cringe.
You'd never get an episode like this in The Current Year, I'll say that much.
It's alright.
