Ironically, venison is probably the most natural red meat for (eurasian and american) humans to consume.
You don't have to look at too many cave paintings to figure out that they're the one of the primary prey items for prehistoric humans. They're not as fast as horses, they're not as dangerous as aurochs, and perhaps most importantly, they're not so large that a modest hunting party can't carry them home.
I always find it funny that the people who are usually most opposed to the hunting of animals like deer, are the same people who are enthusiastic about reintroducing wolves.
They understand the ecological benefits of limiting the deer population, but they never stop to consider that a hunter's bullet is typically a much less traumatic death for the deer than being slowly dragged down and ripped apart by wolves.
"Remember guys, it's your duty to denigrate your own standards of living because a bunch of barbaric foreigners can't stop eating bats."
Even if it wasn't a bioweapon released on behalf of the DNC, or a hoax to rebrand the flu, this is still a goddamn stupid position to take. Not one thing needs to change about America just because the Chinese can't figure out basic food sanitation standards.
Somehow, the fact that America has a thriving culture and industry leading to many livelihoods will be conveniently forgotten in their story, I suppose.
Gonna throw this out there... Cow Pox saved millions if not billions of lives.
Funny thing, that. They'll bring it up in a second if it means saying "take the highly experimental untested and legally liability-free procedure because it also uses a needle just like vaccinations do!", but then it is crickets when it comes to the fact that animal to human transmission of cow pox is what led to smallpox vaccinations and immunity. They'll use it as an example of dangerous illnesses going from animal to human in the hooved and domesticated variety, without considering how much worse the world would be if it didn't exist.
Kids that grow up on farms don't have allergies. The real problem is the lack of urban livestock. Everyone should be mandated to raise and slaughter a cow for health and science.
Wasn’t this the whole ‘agenda’ of EcoHealth Alliance?
They wanted to point out how humans are causing more viruses by encroaching on nature. (They also funded Wuhan to create the virus in a lab - this is clearly seen by the fact that the furin cleavage site used ‘dummy variables’ not found in nature)
Vegans have been pushing this for awhile. There's some graffiti stickers up where I live with silhouettes of animals and the diseases that jumped from them and telling us to stop eating meat. Making it a White man stop eating meat thing is even more pernicious though. I'm sure natives could hunt to their heart's content, even endangered stuff.
Or in other words, the Chinese wet markets that pose an actual danger can keep operating.

Also, at least in North America, if we don't hunt them, then the population explodes and causes further ecological disasters.

They've never seen a wolf hunt or start eating before the deer dies.

Some misinformation is more important than others.

Native American oppression.
