Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is fucking hilarious.
Seethe and dilate, troons.
Too bad Carey is a major cuck
He went full retard
You could say he stayed in character.
Makes you wonder if actors pretend to be someone else in a movie or other way around.
Which is a shame because he is quite talented even still and for the most part has kept his politics out of his works.
Or maybe I'm just making excuses because Sonic the Hedgehog was unironically one of the best movies in years and most of it was him.
I'm going to disagree because I feel like its strongest comedy scenes would be great in any climate. Nearly all of which are from Carey.
Its weaker character and emotional scenes I'll agree on. They are average, but that's leaps above most movies recently for sure.
Remember the whole thing with Kick Ass 2 a few years back? After making the movie he said he couldn't support it because of how violent it was because Sandy Hook happened.
Luckily, a couple years before that I had went down a rabbit hole of watching old clips of him on YouTube (fire marshal Bill and when he is a barbarian woman) and then went and re-watched a lot of his old movies that I had loved as a kid. And yes, GP was right, Ace Ventura was hilarious. I even laughed my ass off thinking about how people would get triggered by the humor in modern times (and this was several years ago before things had gotten as bad as they are now). He was very talented and made some very funny stuff back in the 90s. Nowadays though it's just sad. I would have a hard time laughing because of how he really is. Still haven't watched Sonic. I want a morbidly obese HAES Robotnik even if he is a cis white man.
I'd say well-meaning, but gullible and poorly informed.
Keep in mind, like any good cult, socialism gets you at a low point in your life, when you're vulnerable and open to believing almost anything so long as it offers you a way out....
Was he well-meaning when he intentionally infected a college kid with stds then told her to kill herself and she did?
is the same case where Michael Avenati is/was the lawyer for the plaintiff?
I didnt see a verdict in that case but to use Cosby as an example, people love to take a star down, so it's hard to judge.
But to your point, if carey did in fact give someone an std then pressure them to commit suicide, then that's heinous, and he should be tried, convicted, and spend 25 to life in prison for murder...
Religions are hit or miss, but unfortunately, for better or worse, I suspect there's a religion-shaped hole in most people's psyche.
This is pure speculation on my part, but stay with me. Religions have existed in one form or another for most of the time Homo Sapiens has walked the earth, right?
And a good chunk of religions, if not the majority, have had a tendency towards violently purging non-believers.
Is it possible that over time, those liable to believe in religious dogma, and as a sidenote, those who are skeptical, but smart enough to know how and when to keep their mouths shut, would be the ones more liable to have kids, leading to a world full of people who have an almost pathological need for some form of religious teaching, with a few skeptics here and there?
Of course he is. They all are, cause you don't get to work in hollywood without virtue signalling to the party.
