Oh that's true. Well, anybody who gets a paycheck for a living gets screwed over by income tax. The degree depends on how big their paycheck. For instance, probably pro athletes and the like get screwed over the worst -- at least until they build up some assets to start evasion.
Anybody who can frame themselves as a business can avoid taxes. I've been thinking of going this route.
Because the US has what is called a progressive tax system, in theory those who earn their money all at once would have to pay more than someone who makes the same amount over decades, but the problem is that immediate fame and wealth often draws people who know how to break the system and also cause officials to turn a blind eye. I don’t like income tax, but if we do have to have one, a flat tax on income would be harder to break and would be less complicated to those who don’t have the time to figure out the BS tax system in the US.
