This was obviously the best E3 conference of 2021 and it was meh at best.
I wanted a new Fire Emblem game and a good Pokemon game but I guess those won't be happening this year.
No, you're a dude. And (hopefully), not some bitch who insists on referred to be male pronouns, but just the usual overly pretty bishie boy the Japanese like so much. Regardless, both it and Metrtoid Dread will be the Switch games I'll be looking out for this year.
Nintendo wins by showing more games in 30 minutes than hour long public flagelation sessions. Nintendo pulling out of E3 and going purely in house was such a brilliant move, no need to justify having a physical stage anymore.
NoA treehouse was fucking cringe though, clearly the team had zero idea of what was coming. It could have been pre recorded and instead you have one presenter girl adding an um to every other word in Metroid, and the most "These people weren't able to make it as LP'ers on youtube" gameplay for Mario Party, ft. a danger hair, two people unable to make the last jump on the vine swing game, and the declaration of "Oh, toad tells you what the next hexagon is going to be?" LITERALLY confused at the basic mechanics of a 20 year old childrens party game.
Advance Wars, Fatal Frame, SMT V, Super Monkey Ball and Wario Ware.
Nintendo is the saviour of this year.
Also, I'll take Advance Wars over the SJW shit that Fire Emblem has devolved into.
Fire Emblem community sadly has too many sjws but imo Fire Emblem Three Houses was still a good game.
Advance Wars is definitely a great series, something about the art in the Advance Wars remake looks a little off to me.
Wow, after looking at soulless inclusivity games or western pandering games for days, this was a defibrillator of a presentation for my love of games.
A Tekken fan I know who kept on complaining about Pyra/Mythra is probably screaming in excitement now. I’m happy for him, but that complaining was atrocious (it went on for weeks). Affirmed every stereotype of the Tekken community hating women but worshipping buff half-naked dudes.
I’m SUPER DUPER EXCITED for Mario Golf Super-Rush, I’ve played all the hand-held ones since the GBC days, so Mario Golf rarely disappoints. That adventure mode looks more and more appetizing by the day.
Fatal Frame is a port of the Wii U game Fatal Frame 5. They’ll be releasing it for all platforms, not just the Switch. I’ll probably pick that up on PC or Switch.
I do not want to see a new Fire Emblem anytime soon, I just have a bad feeling with how toxic/cringey the nu-fanbase has gotten after 3 Houses. I long for the days of Sacred Stones.
I still enjoyed Fire Emblem Three Houses and would like another game like it. I do agree that the new members of the Fire Emblem community are cucked. I hope the devs don't pander to them. Sacred Stones was excellent but alas we likely won't be getting another Fire Emblem game like it.
I thought the Nintendo conference was the best E3 conference this year but I still felt it was relatively meh since they didn't have Pokemon or Fire Emblem and they only had one dlc reveal for Smash Ultimate when in the past they usually did 2 character reveals.
I will be buying the Kazuya dlc day one.
The Nintendo conference was a 9/10 when compared to the other cucked conferences of this year but if comparing it to hype conferences of past E3s I would rate this about a 6.5/10.
The best thing about Tekken is Mokujin, the bears, the boxing kangaroo, and the boxing lizardman. Women and half-naked men, for shame.
Picking up Fatal Frame also.
Stopped caring about Fire Emblem after all the "localization" garbage.
I won’t buy a Tekken game if it doesn’t have that half-nakedness in it (RIP Heihachi). Too much of the former and you have SonicFox’s ilk running everywhere.
Devil Kuma is real and he CAN hurt you.
Agreed. I hate that furries have ruined this stuff.
I hold out hope for BOTW2, but am worried that Anouma will try to make it puzzle world the action game again. I loved Skyward Sword, but got sick of the puzzles in it. A free roaming floating world would be awesome though.
I actually yelled at Advance Wars just by the mention of Nation Orange. It looks 3D, but I don't care. I hope they follow up with Batallion Wars.
Metroid Dread has me worried. It is either a great game, or Sakamoto trying to sneak Other M in again. I like the ideas, and laughed when he said Spiderman, but they didn't show that in the translation. It should be fun, but there is a ton of Metroidvania competition.
The Zelda watch looks cool, but I wonder why Link to the Past isn't part of it.
I need another Shin Megami Tensei like a need a gun to the head. (You either got that joke, or think I'm angry.)
WarioWare is the one we should be watching. Back in the day, when the 360 was just coming out, I went to a store to try out the games. My siblings ignored it to play WarioWare at the DS display. They still love that game series.
I am satisfied. The rest is gravy.
Metroid was the only thing that really got me excited. Everything else ranged from "Okay" to "No thanks."
Can't really say I'm happy per se about Kazuma in Smash, but at least Tekken has the pedigree for it. The trailer was a lot of fun, and he is another villain. It helps that I resigned myself to the fact Smash DLC is just for anime characters now, so my expectations were lower than sea level. Now I just have to wait for whatever wet fart they end on this time.
A lot of the "Reveals" just seemed to be stuff we already knew about, which was disappointing. BOTW2 looks alright, but I'm not sure what all the delays were about.
I'm tempted to buy the Zelda Game and Watch because The Adventure of Link, but I don't have too much interest in the the other games on it and it seems insane to pay $50 for just one over 30 year old game.
Emulation. It'll be scalped faster than I just typed the word Nintendo.
I already have it on 3DS anyway but I think the display is failing. It dims a bit randomly but eh it could last another decade for all I know.
Nice, I still need to finish 2 and continue the series. For v3, I think the Vita version had issues so the Switch might come in handy there.
