Eh it's not really desecration in this case. Real Loki in the myths was shape shifter that one time transformed into a mare, got fucked by another male horse and gave birth Sleipnir, Odin's horse as a result.
Loki is fucked up, his shape shifting was supposed to be a sign of trickiness and untrustworthiness, not something to be celebrated
fair point, but you cant argue against the fact that Loki actually is a character that uses his magic to do the thing.
instead argue that his ability to be gender fluid was not exactly celebrated. Dude got railed by a giants horse because he fucked up the negotiation on asgards wall construction
