You have my condolences. Reading through posts from black twitter can be like deciphering a made-up language half the time. It's hard for me to imagine what linguistic incompetence would look or sound like in other languages, would you mind explaining what sort of failures pop up in German?
Depends on who you run into.
Recent migrants speak some other first language and don't really bother learning German. Basically they have a couple of weekend courses and the minute they get their "language certificate" for their residence permit they're done learning for life.
You end up with the usual: wrong sentence structure, missing words, wrong tense and general bad grammar. They're effectively mixing the grammar of two languages without really knowing the rules of one of them, possibly both.
Then there are those who were actually born here but because there are so many migrants in big cities they've never been around people who speak proper German growing up. The result is some devolved form of German similar to Ebonics. Same issues as above but also with made-up "simplified" replacement words, slurred speech and the occasional Turkish word.
Of course the usual "intellectuals" are jerking off over how "efficient", progressive and culturally enriching this ghetto-German language is.
