If I was a high school student today with my current socio-political knowledge, I'd definitely look into a trade skill instead of college: skip crippling debt, make reasonable wages, and avoid this cancer.
Husband retired as a high rise building engineer. Not many young-uns coming up behind him and that was a very very good job. Of course it takes years of hard work backround to get there, not just a 4 year degree.
You can be you in any job. I'm a teacher and haven't shifted an inch left.
