Hey, if it's good enough for voting, jury duty, and just about every other standard and procedure in this country, then it should be good enough for mask policy, right? I mean it's not like we sacrificed a high trust society in the altar of multiculturalism. No reason we can't just pretend everything is exactly the same even as it all crumbles around us.
As a result, the public’s lack of confidence in each other foments “a sort of existential crisis,” said Richard Carpiano, a medical sociologist and public-health scientist at the University of California at Riverside. He said trust functions as a social glue to hold together society.
“If that’s undermined substantially in relation to a potential threat to the health of ourselves or loved ones or other people in our community,” he said, “it’s not a good situation.”
Have you considered not misusing trust to destroy society?

Media trust hits new low
Felix Salmon, author of Capita
Washington Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan writes that "our goal should go beyond merely putting truthful information in front of the public. We should also do our best to make sure it’s widely accepted."
How it works: Media outlets can continue to report reliable facts, but that won't turn the trend around on its own. What's needed is for trusted institutions to visibly embrace the news media.

And here’s a really important element I didn’t address:
gymorjail @gymorjail
Your cable/satellite TV provider pays subscriber fee to carry @foxnews That cost is passed directly to YOU. typical household pays #FoxNews $2 per mth = $20 per year via their cable satellite provider, regardless…
&Here is @MaxBoot on that important aspect:

If Fox won’t stop peddling sedition, then large cable companies such as Comcast and Charter Spectrum, which carry Fox and provide much of its revenues in the form of user fees, need to step in and kick Fox off. …

You mean to tell me that decades of destroying the family and local community, sowing ethnic tension through mass immigration and critical race theory, and cramming more and more people into the cities has had adverse effects on the once high-trust nature of our societies?
Lol I read an article earlier today where the "experts" definitively answered that question in the negative, and the answer of course is being able to demand people show their papers. Only problem is businesses don't want to be the vaccine police. They'll either continue requiring masks or rely on the honor system because it's not worth the resources to differentiate like that. Only the woke companies with money to burn will dump resources into playing those kinds of games.

I'm shocked! Well, not that shocked.
Of course it's a woman.
They've never seen tyranny that they wouldn't like to impose...on everyone else.
Or, in other words, WaPo denigrates alternatives to a mandatory vaccine passport.
