Northern blacks were more accepted than the Irish by every accountable metric, and immigrant blacks from the Caribbean earned more money in New England cities then either the native blacks and Irish. This historical rewrite makes every white American despite ancestry guilty of original sin, while every black American despite ancestry is the tortured victim.
The privileges and protected status don't do any black who behaves himself and doesn't use his race to advance himself any good. He's only hurt by having to live in a neighborhood plagued by crime created by the black elites and left-wing identitarians, having to send his kids to terrible schools which are ruined further by a refusal to punish kinds for disruptions if they're black, etc.
