I was watching pirate uploads on YouTube of the Amazon original animated series of Robert Kirkman's Invincible, and found what appears to be regressive leftist propaganda starting with episode 3 that I think may not have been in the original comic series.
The episode mentioned 4th wave feminism, had a character get called sexist over something benign, and had a mad scientist go on a rant about the founding fathers being "racist slave owners" while also spewing other regressive leftist propaganda.
Can someone who had read the original comic series please tell me if this garbage was in the original comic series?
If you still want to watch this shitty series, you should watch the pirate uploads on YouTube though I should note that the 3rd episode is the one with the most garbage.
It's also confirmed Robert Kirkman had gone regressive and is even directly responsible for this change, so I bet he would resist demands to fix it even if he risked severe legal penalties for catering to extremists.
Edit: the linked videos are gone, so I should consider digging up the videos again for a cringe compilation to use as a reference.
The Walking Dead comics series started to go in a kinda woke direction at the end of its run. It wasn't totally obnoxious, but I wouldn't be shocked if another comic series by Robert Kirkman went farther.
Princess loudly exclaiming that it's good that proportionally larger amounts of whites died during the zombie apocalypse was pretty shitty- but Princess was a pretty shitty character overall.
Tbf, Princess could have also been commenting on the racial tolerance of the people in Rick's group. Either way, Princess was an annoying character.
The most disappointing series ever for me was House of Cards (the American version).
Up until the last season I really enjoyed it on the level, and many things that happened were completely believable...but the final season looked like it was based on a fan fic written by a woke group of feminist college students, and it was entirely unbelievable to me. I won't spoil it for you, but the very final scene was one of the dumbest endings I have ever seen in any series.
Really? House of Cards is kind of my hate-punching-bag for me, precisely because it's the kind of politics that is unbelievable. In real life if somebody tried to do what Frank did, his career would get shanked by one of the other three letter agencies that reside in Washington within a couple of episodes. Also it emphasizes Putin way too much and China way too little, so you know whoever wrote this had swallowed too much mainstream Media.
That series ends with the knock knock on the desk. It’s pretty good if you just stop at the end of season 2
So I wasn't the only one. What was up with that Build-your-own-Hippie-Commune BS? In real life, wouldn't all those different communities naturally unite under Rick anyway? This is a warlord apocalypse, he is the natural king, whether he wants to be or not.
That is good to know, I also noticed that based on the Wikipedia article for the main character of the comic character that the events were rearranged so that several events occur before omniman tells his son he is an advance agent for an invading force.
The biggest of the woke shit was likely added and can probably be easily excised with do overs of the voice lines, though they would have to redo Amber's head rather than just recolor her back to her original race as she has a blatant afro hairstyle that did not appear on the original character.
Is Amber a huge bitch in the comics too? There was a scene in the animation (can't say what episode) where she expressed a desire to attend a certain college because "they have a great social justice program". Normally a red flag, but she's such an unlikeable feminist that I thought it was almost suitable.
Having a closeup every time there's an interracial kiss is a bit too Netflix for me, however.
Amber is a great example of leftist creators becoming so disconnected from reality that they accidentally invert their protagonists and villains.
Amber is a complete bitch, top to bottom, start to finish, and Mark wouldn't give her a second thought if he didn't want to fuck her. A normal person sees this character and thinks "wow, she's awful, what a spot-on depiction of an intersectional feminist". An intersectional feminist sees this character and thinks "hell yass, slay kween". Everyone is looking at the same character, but she registers 100% differently depending on the viewer.
The best example of this is Rorschach, whom Alan Moore intended to be a caricature of right-wing extremism. But Alan Moore is a commie retard, so his idea of a psycho conservative is actually a rational person. Ironically, Rorschach is by far the most relatable character in the story as well as one of the most enduring narrators in comic book history. It comes as no surprise that the modern sequel series went out of its way to shit all over his legacy.
She's fine in the comics. In fact, they part on amicable terms because they both decide it won't work with him being a super hero because she deserves someone who can be there for her. It's a far cry from the latest episode which she "figured it out a long time ago" and she hates him for "lying to me".
It's like they made her a huge bitch to just speed along the transition to Eve.
Not that I in any way doubt that an Amazon show would be regressive, but if it's a mad scientist, they may be making fun of the idea.
Good god, I've seen talking shits on newgrounds with better animation than that show.
Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post. That is all you need to know.

I haven't read the original comics, but I did see a few videos on the history of certain characters spanning the series.
I will tell you that the main baddie is going to be effectively a super-nazi (also, he hasn't even been introduced yet). Like, literally imagine Superman if he was literally a Nazi, and he was of a race of Nazis who were successful in building a planet of super-Nazis and created a super Nazi space empire.
From what I understand of the series, it doesn't feel like your average ""Neo-Liberal"" or Leftist radical propaganda. In fact, the truth of the matter seems to be that the super-heroes are all pretty self-interested and back-stabbing. The race of super-nazis even kinda has a point since what they are doing is because they are actually super-nazis that are unbelievably more powerful and evolutionary advanced than basically anything in the galaxy. No one's ever truly good, and no one's ever truly evil in the series; and the characters tend to lean towards good and evil, while understanding their own context in the form of powers and desires. Invincible, being the protagonist, is a 'good' character, but he basically has to learn how to be good given himself and his circumstances. Other heroes will fail to learn how to be good. On the other hand, villains may be either good or bad. Sometimes they will try to be good and fail. Sometimes they will be good and fail.
There seems to be an element of confusion about what it actually means to be good or evil, based on the things that you do, and power can corrupt what that means.
Whatever propaganda I suspect you would see in the comment is less intentional propaganda, and more of the biases of the cultural milieu of the industry. As for the show itself, it's going to be very hard to tell, but I can see why a radical Leftist would be attracted to the comic due to the fact that the comic undermines most tropes... except the "racist, powerful, white, men" trope.
