Murder is also something that someone could reasonably commit. I routinely wonder how I see men get dragged through a court system by a woman they loved, and thought loved them, and strip them of their autonomy and children and income, and wonder why they don't just kill the bitch. I just couldn't handle the injustice of it, I'd absolutely snap.
The muck-raking and shit-stirring of modern day activists and bloggers pretending they're fighting against the system as they work to support it reminds me vividly of Morpheus explaining to Neo that all the "others" around him that were still hooked up the The Matrix were nothing more than cogs in the machine, and would fight and die to protect it. To do so now requires an amount of willful ignorance and indifference; a bystander effect of a moral variety.
I think I'd rather my children grow up to me murderers or literal whores than grow up to become an actor or journalist.
At least they'd be true to themselves.
