Nah I get it man. And yeah, it is dying out, but that's because we only post about shit to bitch about and there's only so much of that you can take in a given day. You never see threads about things people like doing because they don't get traction because that's not what people visit this board for. That's probably in part because KIA and KIA2 were formed in opposition to a movement as opposed to standing for one of its own.
Guy posts insightful videos about money laundering, its history, and why the rich does it? Five comments, four of them from the video maker. Reddit hires a pedophile and starts censoring shit related to said pedo? HUNDREDS OF POSTS OF OUTRAGE OH MY GOD WHY WOULD THEY DO SUCH A THING. We're focused so much on what the assholes are doing we stopped trying to build and foster something for ourselves.
Yeah I'm with you, particularly in the last week. (although I don't think this person is doing it) I've stayed out of a lot of them because there's just nothing to get for me. Why do I need to chime in on loli that I know nothing about or a website I know nothing about. Or the clown show that is Reddit. Or whatever nonsense I saw earlier that I needed to prove I have balls by responding to some gibberish? I wasn't around on Reddit, but I've generally liked it here because even with the political topics I felt like it was more of a "look at the stupid thing the enemy is doing, let's all laugh at them" and not a big cutthroat dogfight amongst ourselves.
I don't post new stuff much (albeit a lot more lately). Maybe I will come across something positive to post soon. I haven't been gaming much lately though so who knows.
We're probably all falling into the same outrage trap that the Left did. We're identifying heresy and screaming at it because it has literally become an addiction.
The difference being, we're screaming at heresy that is historically destructive to civilization. Destruction of the nuclear family, the basic foundation of a society, is a pretty good thing to rail against.
True, but I think people run the risk of losing themselves in the anger when what we need to be doing is formulating solutions and working on them as long term projects. Rage alone is not productive, we need to take the anger and channel it into more healthy action to alleviate the problems in front of us.
Rage alone is just violence. We're still doing pretty good in that department, though that will change if the economy tanks properly. Educating people seems the best use of time.
