In the mid 90s, Homer's weight of 239 was considered comically obese.

Tbf I still consider that comically obese for the typical height, non-athletic man. There's just a ton of enormous lazy fucks out there now.
The episode that established his weight also had the line, "Obesity is really unhealthy. Any doctor will tell you that." I can't believe they were allowed to spew such hate speech on broadcast television!
