If you are ever called a white supremacist by a leftard, this is what they mean.

I’m black and a massive problem I see more and more today is that holding a blacks person to any standard is attacked. You are right about learning English.
I’d honestly love to have all the black ppl with the “racism is everywhere” mentality in the western world spend some time in Haiti or any other paradise that isn’t white majority
Something they also ignore is that understanding slang and AAVE and such is REAL hard for people whose first language isn't English. They hold black people to a lower standard and fuck you guys over. But they also make it impossible for immigrants to communicate with black people.
Everyone loses.
Interesting you mention that. I am fluent in Spanish and I had an immigrant from South America once aske me in Spanish if black Americans spoke a different language. I was confused at first then I realized the black ppl he lived by used a ton of slang.
Also speaking of immigrants it’s interesting how black immigrants don’t seem to fall victim to “white privilege”.
On top of actually not understanding, it makes people anxious. Even with proper English, I used to be super nervous every time when I was just starting out.
So it can even make people not want to try, not because yuck, black people, but more like it adds an extra layer of possible failure and humiliation. Especially when you consider black people in the US often being louder and more... I guess, open with their feelings?
I'm a super shy person with extremely high anxiety. People making a spectacle out of me making a mistake is nightmare fuel to me, lol. I know, that's a weakness of mine and I'm working on it, but yeah.
Almost like black immigrants have perspective.
Learning Spanish gave me a much bertter idea of what people who come here and learn English go through. To a degree at least. There are certain Spanish dialects that are very hard to understand for me
Indeed. AAVE is the ultimate peak in "English-only initiatives", to use the White Supremacy Pyramid they themselves composed. Nothing could be more exclusionary to non-English-peoples than ensuring they have as difficult a time as possible fitting in or speaking via elaborate and arcane slang systems. Some words mean the opposite of what they mean, some words can be heard but never spoken in turn, some words change meaning not based on inflection or stress but based on who is saying them, it is honestly a nightmare to speak English normally, it's not an easy language, then you add these arbitrary things on top.
It's very exclusionary and favors native English over migrant and lesser-advantaged populations, using AAVE.
I seem to recall decades of hearing black comedians like Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Bernie Mac, Dave Chapelle, Patrice O'Neil, and shit, even way back to Richard Pryor, talking about the crabs-in-a-bucket mentality that has been plaguing America's black population forever. Learn to read? Acting white. Learn to do math? Acting white. Learn to speak like a normal person? Acting white. Please ignore all the Asians, Indians, Arabs, Hispanics, and actual Africans that stepped up to the plate no problem. I don't hear anyone accusing them of "acting white," it's just called education to them.
