And instead of that, here is a much better article.
Ironically, the radical marxist is unable to understand what happened. After a century, the people finally realized they own the means of production and weaponized it against the dictatorship.
Hedgies didn't lose bigly, Wall Street is fine, America's establishment is fine. Biden's FBI is arresting people for 2016 "election interference" memes.
It's not like they're going to suffer from psychic backlash from some retard's poor opinion of them.
Or are they doing an AOC telepathic trauma episode. Ted Cruz literally tried to kill her, man!
Brendan O'Neill is a Marxist, but I actually like him because he's honest and can even articulate his opposition's opinions reasonably well. He also doesn't just call everybody who disagrees with him names.
I don't listen to him often but I'll catch the Spiked podcast once every few months. I don't agree with his opinions but he doesn't try to alter reality to make events fit his ideology.
So it seems to me that most of the right is on the side of the GameStonkers & the leftist elite are against it.
This article makes the case that people concerned about our dying society should not think that this is a wise way to solve our problems. Goes into the history of such things & is a fun read
This article makes the case that people concerned about our dying society should not think that this is a wise way to solve our problems.
If your synopsis is more or less the case, the article's argument sounds like utopianism and whataboutism. Just because something fails to magically solve all problems doesn't mean it needs to be condemned.
I can cheer on some diamond hand stonk apes while realizing there are also many other issues with society. If the argument really does come down to 'this doesn't solve everything,' no shit. I'm still not siding with the hedge funds against the autists.
I'm "concerned about our dying society" in exactly the same way as I'm concerned about someone who's just had their head chopped off: there's nothing I can do to solve the problem, and even if there was I'm not sure I'd want to.
Brokers, American media, backed hedgies to let hedgies dump $GME from $300 to $30.
Short squeeze failed. Hedgies didn't lose bigly. Probably didn't lose any money at all. Squeeze was backed by someone moving 1000s of shares, it ain't just redditors doing the squeeze, other hedgies, Wall St investors made it possible.

Both are retarded. Why not keep cheering them on.

That's why communism always magically solves everything. Everything else just isn't up to par and thus can be dismissed. Just embrace communism.

Hedgies shorted $GME to 140% of float.

People now have poor opinions of hedgies.
How will the hedgies ever recover.
Wall Street is finished. America is dead!
