Nor would I even say it's intentional propaganda. Someone who is so terrified of a virus they wear that crap probably believes all the other actual propaganda. You know, how everyone is going to die if they leave their house, but if we were in the great land of China they did it properly and now they have a normal life again because of their tremendous leadership. Believe all that, and it's not far fetched to decide you'd rather have stayed in China where the virus is totally gone.

Fun fact, that thing has an unfiltered air outlet valve. So if he did actually believe it was a serious situation his choice of mask says he elected to remove almost all protection for everyone else from his own germs, in favor of maybe slightly increasing his own protection.

The Chinese seem to purposely invade public broadcasters like this. There’s a PBS “documentary” where some horrible woman tours the western world and claims that the Chinese invented everything. Like at one point it goes so far as to claim they may have invented whiskey because “we can’t confirm they didn’t” or something similarly insane
Boris needed to ensure the virus was brought in the country for Build Back Better. It probably would have got in eventually but if borders had been tightly shut the moment China couldn't hide it any longer rather than "come to Chinatown for Chinese new year" it probably would have been delayed.
