It's only OK when the left offers any challenge to elected representatives. The right does it, and they're terrorists.

I get your point, but at the same time, they'll always abuse their power when a chance is given to them. Playing defensively has won us nothing, so there must come a time when we reject all optics, reject all leftist orthodoxy. Otherwise we're guaranteed to lose.
At some point optics becomes cope for those who do not have the will.
