Edward Snowden: Facebook officially silences the President of the United States. For better or worse, this will be remembered as a turning point in the battle for control over digital speech. (twitter.com)

How is silencing a sitting president a "better?" Even if you HATE Trump, this is big tech having way too much power.

They were told not to care about the "fiery but mostly peaceful protest" riots and looting. They were told to be angry over Trump fans peacefully occupying one building. If God came down in Batgirl cosplay and decapitated every last leftist and corrupt liar on the news theoretically speaking, they would be okay with it if the TV eventually told them to be okay with it. Even if that day only came when the only news channel able to broadcast in America is owned by a theoretical based and redpilled revolutionary government.

I'm fairly sure Snowden, no matter how much he hates Trump, understands of all people that this is for the worse.

He's trying to be impartial in what he's saying because he knows nutfucks follow him.

He's just saying that it marks a turning point. He doesn't know if it will turn better or worse, but it's significant such that it will be viewed that way in the future.

I know a lot of folks in the comments read this are like "YAAAAS," which, like—I get it. But imagine for a moment a world that exists for more than the next 13 days, and this becomes a milestone that will endure.

Reading through the comments on that twitter thread... yeah, I'm thinking I should do like Bernard and take off to the arctic to be with like-minded individuals. Let these idiots have their soma and feelies.

It genuinely baffles me how ignorant these people are on Twitter. I know Twitter became a Tumblr refuge after Tumblr banned porn on the website, but I am genuinely curious how many people in this country genuinely think Trump and conservatives should be banned from social media? How many people actually think the BLM riots were "just," but this "breach," basically a walk-in, was the worst thing since 9/11?

People across the isle always talk about wanting to do bad things to members of Congress and the police force, yet now all of a sudden these people are genuinely concerned for the lives of members of Congress and the police? It's useless to point out the hypocrisies of the left, because they are so blind and incapable of introspection.

Never forget that the republicans had 4 years to do something about big tech censorship, and they did NOTHING.

Due to the courts rulings meant to screw over Trump 3 years ago, isn't this a 1A violation?
