The Left is fully defined through a philosophy of war. Holding a moral position is choosing to make yourself a stationary target. "This is horrifying" is what they say when they see an injured police officer when it advantages them.
Think about what they say about people who charge police with knives. Hell, Kamalla was just defending it today.
Now, think tactically about what they will say about the woman who was shot by Capitol police today? Not "what is the moral position here?", think: "What kind of narrative would allow me the most power over someone else?" Then, go look it up. You'll see you're correct.

"There's no need for border controls and a compensatory meritocracy, there's plenty to go around for everyone and no evil people exist to abuse the open ended rules and sweeping centralized authority we'll create" Then they go right along and follow the most bloodthirsty organization around, people fighting tooth and nail not to share even a drop of wealth or power with anyone else unless they absolutely have to, all because their words still say "yes, you're right ?" all whilst their actions say "haha, fucking chumps, this is a war for survival".

Also, realize that the Left has zero issues with the police - they need the police to enforce their edicts, and soon their ultra-authoritarian lock down orders and weapons confiscations. They just want a national police force that's only accountable to them; no state-level cops, and certainly no elected sheriffs departments.

The left has nothing but virtue signaling, therefore they can change their outlook and beliefs in a heartbeat. It's why the left keeps winning, because they can fight dirty and still be the "good guys".
