You imply they understand logistics. Many believe the only reason we haven't fully automated factories and farms is because it would put the lessers out of work, and therefore we must out of the kindness of our heart hold back technological progress.
That's the idea behind UBI for lots of them.
And they are too young to actually know people who lived through the Soviet Union in the 70's and 80's...
