Today we will discuss which games should win our award for GAME OF THE YEAR.
Please consider what you would like to argue should be the winning item for each of the passing categories.
Consider who you would like to nominate as your electors. You may choose 3 electors to cast votes for you on your behalf. Persuade them as necessary. You may choose yourself once. The top 12 most nominated electors will assemble as our electoral tribunal, and will vote on the final categories. Feel free to message me directly with your nomination, or comment your nominations publicly. The electors are allowed to vote their own conscience.
This will be your last chance to nominate electors. Look over the previous discussions to see who you agree with and think would vote the way you want.

If you are an elector, let me know on what platforms we can discuss our nominations. I have Discord, .win, Saidit, Poal, and Reddit. Alternatively we could use u/acp_k2win 's Ruqqus I think.
Have any of us played many new games? Once I quit playing much multiplayer, I quit buying games near launch for the most part. Seems dumb to spend $60 when I won't play it right off anyway and it will be $20 later.
I looked back at everything that's released this year (excluding remasters) and the only thing I've played enough to feel like having an opinion on is Journey to the Savage Planet. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't GOTY quality either. I suppose Tetris Effect: Connected as well (it's great btw, but it's Tetris, so been around a while)
Based on videos and what is on my want list, I'd probably second a nomination for Hades. My opinion I'd just like the main award to go to something that isn't a big AAA title but plays like one. Based on comments I've seen that seems to be the case. I may even pick it up, particularly if it ever comes to GOG. I just can't be in favor of awarding to Sony. PS4 exclusive, maybe....but Sony owned after the mess of a year they've had sticking their nose in politics--no thanks.
Several people have, from what I can see.
Do you want to post any videos for those, including Hades?
Sure, I found this guy via this site and generally like his reviews and he tends to also prefer old school FPS and hate 2D platformers and Souls games. So, basically me. I hate posting YouTube links but everyone is smart enough here to know what they are clicking.

Only other games I really think about for my personal opinion of GOTY would be Doom Eternal (here's a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAXveoa5k1Y) and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Yakuza solely based on me having played through a few of the games and the things I've read it didn't go woke. Ghosts of Tsushima maybe, but I just can't get around awarding a company a GOTY on this site that also is up for their "Cities can rebuild" comments.
