It's a bar they were never going to reach. The problem isn't completely on their end, it's that idiots on Reddit and just about every major gaming forum built an echo chamber of how infallible and technically superior this studio is. They dropped Witcher 3 to great reception and made some comments about not getting greedy and half the gaming subreddits were just days short of lining up outside the dev studios to fellate everyone who works there.
Still, they romanced the community and didn't realize the monster they were creating would turn on them if things weren't flawless.
The game is solid (and no matter what we think of the social messages, was always going to make money - any reddit dipshit worth his salt would be obligated to buy it just to understand the inevitable flood of references it was going to bring on) and plays well enough on next gen consoles, which means that the complaints will dry up the more those become available. Time will tell if the studio or the fanboys actually learn anything from this mess.
CDPRs only real mistake in all of this was releasing it for last gen consoles to begin with. Should have made it a next gen exclusive.
The game runs at a solid 60 FPS at a mix of high to ultra graphics on my 1600X and 580, granted they're both overclocked as far as they can go with stock coolers but still it's not nearly as buggy for me as people have claimed. Especially after two patches that were within what, 10 days of release?
Last gen consoles are 7 years old, new games that aren't annual franchises shouldn't be releasing for them at this point.
We know it's a buggy piece of shit. That can be fixed and forgiven.
What can't be fixed is 90% of the cast being female.
Bro, haven't you heard? The future is female.
Right, so about that...

Guys build success, then women come in to grift, then sht hits the fan.
Circle of wife.
