It's probably for the same reason people type "should of" instead of "should've". They see it misused by other retards and then think it's the correct usage because it kind of sounds like it.
That word alone gets spelled wrong a surprising number of times as many don't seem to understand where the contraction is taking place.
As for why it happens, as mentioned by others because many attribute the spelling to the sound, so words that have silent letters suffer.
It's particularly amusing when you consider Greek works that have completely silent letters at the start like Cnidaria/Pteron, then again one common pattern with the Woke is that they don't actually care about the language of other cultures, hence why the majority of actual Latinos don't know about Latinx and only 3% actually use it.
Because proper English is racist probably.
It actually is. Look up ebonics.
I'd better not. It'd just make me angry. Or depressed.

Tbf that one can work with the proper reasoning.
"I could care less about this" - by not caring enough to make the previous statement.
See also "apart" and "a part" despite them being the complete opposite of each other.
That parses completely differently. It's pure retardation.

Sounds to me like either ebonics or chinklish.
(Can't be Japlish, because there's no "most honourable" before "person".) ;)
People that say 'pacific' and not be referring to an ocean region.
Cause they're dumb.
because they're foreign agents that don't speak english
They're not dumb. It's deliberate. They're destroying your language on purpose and flexing about it.
"X is bias" is an old meme. How old? I remember Adam Sessler commenting on it. I have not paid attention to Adam Sessler in a very long time.
