These police need to be the ones who we focus our efforts on.

They aren't retarded, if they refuse to move forwards the politicians can't replace them, and they can't allow them to do nothing.

Vilifying police removed their ability to constantly have new ones available.

Yes, the right are too pro-cop for their own good. At that rally with what must be 100 fucking cops that ended up being on site, they were still chanting "back the blue"

Sorry fam, "I was only following orders" didn't work for the guards at Auschwitz and I hold Canadian police to a higher standard that the literal Nazis.

I count 18 police officers here. More than at Dante shooting ⁦@JohnTory ⁩

In addition to 18 armed police officers on site I also counted 10 police cars. Don’t see ⁦@JohnTory⁩ here or ⁦@fordnation⁩ but the taxpayers are represented here just in case somebody wants to order some ribs

Nothing to be afraid of here. All the cops will show up to display how brave they are

"Hired locksmiths" I'm guessing the city doesn't have any on staff. So some small business decided it would be ok to lock another small business out of their own shop. Disgusting. I hope who ever runs that locksmith company gets blasted for this.

Just guessing, but cops probably either employ locksmiths or have them on some retainer contract which probably requires them to perform all jobs requested.

This is, at most, a bylaw enforcement matter. Toronto is in the midst of its worst gun-crime wave in history. @JohnTory has reprioritized attacking this restaurant over gang and gun crimes. Tory is obsessed with this one man who won't obey him. Because dissent spreads.

Just like Roger Stone, the media apparently knew this was going to happen: https://twitter.com/TWilsonOttawa/status/1331933719549136897

State possession of private property? Or leased building?

CORRECTION: Saw a video of him talking about his landlord so it's a leased site.

I believe he owns it, I haven't heard anything about other property owners and the guy also runs a welding shop in the other half of the building.

CORRECTION: Saw a video of him talking about his landlord so it's a leased site.

I've noticed even the most bootlicking of conservatives are starting to pull back on this one thanks to all this lockdown enforcement + standing down at riots.

There was some people yelling at the cops but also a lot of "back the blue" chants, sadly.
