So we're never going to see prime Jodie Foster* in a tight jump-suit try to visit the alien version of her father again? Shame.
* I rewatched that movie a couple months ago. They really laid the whole "Religious Right are the bad guys" sub-plot on thick, even if you exclude the cult leader blowing the thing up. I definitely find myself far more sympathetic to Matthew McConaughey's character with the benefit of 25 years of hindsight.
Meanwhile, humans wouldn't recognize non-human intelligence that couldn't talk human unless it nuked them in their ugly monkey faces.
