I have made some sporadic comments in the past that im somewhat a huge Destiny fan (one look at how much time ive wasted on the franchise should stand for itself), the Lore is fantastic, the Characters (after being given 6 years to be fleshed out) are vibrant and memorable, the gunplay, top of its class. However the most recent expansion has left the community gutted.
Bungie decided to "Sunset" our current weapons, whereby making them all useless at the new expansion level, forcing the players to grind out new weapons. This would have worked in theory, however they completely failed to release any kind of vendor reset for the second year in a row (all vendors used to get a new weapons and armour set for each new major expansion), so the game is effectively DOA. None of the new loot feels worth it and more egregious, Old sunset loot is dropping but at the new power level, making you grind out the same roll you had even though you have a god-roll in your vault. And dont even get me started on Eververse (Bungie cash shop)
Player time/satisfaction ratio is at an all time low... but what could have caused this? how could a company as large as Bungie, start failing to meet customer expectation for a full priced expansion?...

well what else should I have expected from a Washington based company... the warning signs have been cropping up in recent times, the BLM emblem, the changing of Male/Female gender description to Masculine/Feminine in the character creation screen... but this, this segregationist horseshit is on a new level.... and as a result my hobby game has taken a really bad turn... is there nothing this shit wont infect???

I can one up you on franchises going to shit. I was a Forza fan and a Fortnite fan. Both sold out hard to BLM.

Nah, they stopped doing them after Chapter 2, Season 2. I think they learned their lesson. Even purged it from their social media that they ever did it. I'll probably come back after the godawful Marvel season is over, as long as they don't do something stupid like that again. (Let's not see President-Elect™ Biden in Fortnite...please.)
As for Forza, they doubled down and now ban "hate slogans" on cars. What that means is...nobody knows. Random bans all over the place. If I get the next game, I'll just paint every car red.

It got expanded since then, any rising sun was the last I heard, which is hilarious and shows how out of touch they are with car culture. Rising sun is on 90% of JDM car designs, including the high profile tuners in real life.
They own the system now. They tell you what to do. Im not buying another Xbox/Gaystation and I advise others to go PC and avoid products made by these companies.

I am sorry for your loss, as I like Destiny as well. Part of the reason why I'm here is because of SJW poison creeping into the things I like, even the miniscule stuff. I almost went insane in June. Even now I'm scared for the few things left.

Yeah, I wasn't initially that opposed to sunsetting, but the whole "rerelease the same guns so you have to rng for a god roll again" is pretty bullshit. The gun is either sunset or it's not. Also, sunsetting Shadowkeep stuff is dumb, they also didn't update some old activities so they're worthless.
The staggered update is also weird. I love the new stasis stuff, but they're timegating us on progression which kinda curbs my desire to really play around a lot.

Y'all is a good answer to a linguistic hole in English, with multiple solutions (like youse) being tried in many different dialects. It's memetic and sticks and gives us the ability to address groups in the 2nd person with less ambiguity so it is beginning to take over.
Btw I just realized this a while ago, but is there a single white major character in Destiny 2? After the Exo Stranger was revealed to have been black in the past I noticed it seems that every character just checks off each and every diversity box to a T.
from memory Cayde-6 was the only one (pre-exo) and possibly Lord Shaxx (the helmet stays on) but hes been alluded to have had many relationships over the centuries (Valentines Day Bow) apparently including men, one of the planetary vendors Devrim Kay (EDZ) is a british man but hes gay, Ana Bray is a dyke, Mara Sov has, like Shaxx, apparently lived so long shes tried everything, Uldren before his death had a really weirdly implied incestuous relationship with his sister....
I used to play a lot of Destiny as well, up until a few months after the launch of Shadowkeep.
It was the unbridled greed of Bungie through the Eververse (in game store) that caused me to stop playing in the end. I thought the Bungie split with Activision would result in scaling back the predatory pricing and practices, but it was just the opposite - they reduced they ways to earn bright dust (in game currency) e.g. dismantling no longer gave bright dust, and upped all the bright dust costs in the Eververse, forcing you to get paid currency if you wanted those items.
And now, 12 months later, they have just gone and nerfed ways to earn bright dust even further.
And removed a bunch of existing content that required paid expansions.
And artificially inflated the grind with their sunsetting fiasco - it was supposed to address the 3 or 4 weapons that were overpowered in the game, but instead they went and sunset 90% of the weapons forcing players to grind for them all over again.
The writing is on the wall for Bungie - they are creatively and morally bankrupt and have zero respect for the players time.
